Alto was founded in 2011 in Taipei by friends Jim Shen and Clement Chang, who were inspired by Italian minimalism. The brand started by designing 3C accessories, focusing on the durability and unique qualities of leather. Alto uses natural and eco-friendly leather dyeing techniques, giving the leather its distinct, natural scent.
In Italian, "Alto" means "high." It symbolizes our commitment to consistently pursuing excellence in quality and craftsmanship while finding the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. This is why we are dedicated to using premium Italian leather and offering high-quality products at a fair price. Through original designs and exquisite Taiwanese craftsmanship, we strive to create stylish accessories tailored to our customers' tastes.

Over the past 13 years since our founding, we have continuously absorbed knowledge and grown stronger, all while staying true to our original beliefs. Through innovative designs and meticulous craftsmanship, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of luxury. Our goal is to provide our customers with a rich tactile experience, using our products to highlight their extraordinary taste and style.
In 2013, Alto began expanding internationally, and by 2015, we opened our first store at Eslite Songyan. We also participated in major exhibitions such as the Taiwan Creative Expo, COMPUTAX, and Hong Kong Computer&Communications Fair (HKCCF). In 2020, we launched a series of renowned IP collaborations, featuring beloved characters like Snoopy, Hello Kitty, and Disney icons. This cross-industry integration allowed us to introduce Taiwan’s premium leather craftsmanship to a wider audience. Today, we actively seek potential partnerships as we expand our global presence.
