How to Clean and Care Leather Accessories ✨

You will need these tools:

1. The phone case you want to clean
2. White cotton pads or replace with cotton clothes/socks (white won't transfer dye to the leather)
3. Leather soap or a cup/dish of clean water
4. Leather conditioning oil

Basic Cleaning Steps – Water

Leather products are sensitive to water, but with proper moisture and techniques, you can effectively clean simple non-oily stains. Using warm water can enhance the cleaning effect.

Step 1: Dampen a cotton pad with a small amount of water and gently wipe in circular motions. Avoid applying too much pressure during wiping to prevent damaging the leather. Excess water may cause the leather to deteriorate, so it is recommended to use only a small amount of clean water for an overall wipe.

Step 2 : Don't forget to wipe the sides and four corners where hand sweat and dirt tend to accumulate. Repeat wiping until no more dirt is lifted off.

Step 3 : After wiping, place the phone case in a cool, ventilated area, avoiding direct sunlight. Let it air-dry for 15-20 minutes until the surface moisture evaporates.

During the cleaning process, it’s normal to see some color transfer on the cotton cloth, so there's no need to worry as long as you're not wiping too hard. Once the moisture has dried, it is recommended to apply another layer of conditioning oil to keep the leather in good condition. This also helps to block moisture and dirt from adhering. If you notice any dirt, clean it as soon as possible for better results.

Advanced Cleaning and Care – Leather Soap

Water and leather soap are great cleaning aids, and either one can be chosen. If you have leather soap, it can clean deeper dirt.

Step 1 : Dampen a white cotton pad with a small amount of clean water, then apply a bit of leather soap to the slightly wet cloth.

Step 2 : Gently wipe in circular motions, and you will start to see a small amount of soap foam. Avoid applying too much pressure during wiping to prevent damaging the leather. Excess water may cause the leather to deteriorate, so it's recommended to use only a small amount of clean water for an overall wipe.

Remember to also clean the edges and corners thoroughly.

*Notes: Leather soap already contains conditioning oils, which help replenish the leather's surface while cleaning. However, you can still apply additional conditioning oil for more complete care and protection.

Maintenance Steps

Step 2 : Gently apply the conditioning oil to the product by rubbing in circular motions.

*Note : If a product has leather in different colors, it’s recommended to clean and condition each color separately to avoid color transfer from the same cloth.
